This month, Bill Walker on keys, Dave Schorr on bass and singer Katie Lipka will be playing at the University Lutheran Uncommon Hours Festival, and we thought we’d warm up at a2 Wine Bar’s Of the Moment’s 2nd Friday gig on September 11 from 8-10pm.

Will there be songs about September and New York? Of course.

We hope to see some familiar faces on Friday night to get us through a sad anniversary. Don’t stay home and feel sad alone! Come out and feel sad with us! And with tunes like “Manhattan” by Rodgers and Hart, you’ll have a smile on your face too. WE HEART NY!

You can see Bill, Dave and me at the Uncommon Hours Festival on Saturday, September 27 at 7pm when we are billed as the Bill Walker Trio, with the Josson Belluschi Quartet. Also at this festival the following week, OtMQ singer Katie Lipka will be singing Mary in a brand new, world premiere of a 4 movement Magnificat by Alan Hebert – this is NOT jazz, but orchestral and a very modern take on an old theme! The Magnificat will be on Saturday, October 3 at 7pm.

And then of course, there’s always the 2nd Friday of October at a2 when Of the Moment Quartet will again feature Ken Chou on keys, and we will hit all songs from the 1920s in honor of Belmont’s hundredth birthday!
